One event on 9th November 2018 at 1:00pm
Words’n’pics Open Writers (WOW) – led by Jan Wilkins will be running two drop-in workshops at Oswestry Memorial Hall during Festival Week – we will be doing two large text and image collages – one on WAR – the other on PEACE – both topics for the Art Trail and Poetry being showcased in The Wilfred Owen Festival.
WOW – will being working on the collages – and members of the public are invited to ‘add their own piece or chosen words’ from materials provided. Of course, everyone is welcome to bring their own contribution of materials and donations will be gratefully received; Newspapers/Magazines/Images/ Fabrics etc.
WOW and Chirk Open Writers will be on hand in support and to chat too.
If adding to the large collages inspires, there will also be the opportunity to make your own A4 collage piece!
Also in Festival Week there will be a display of self-written, fictional letters of WW1 by members of WOW and Chirk Open Writers in The Memorial Hall.
Maybe you would like to ‘draft your own WW1 letter…?’
Come along and join us for collages and letter writing!
