Wilfred Owen‘Wilfred Owen: Poet of Oswestry’

Author Dave Andrews, currently Reader and Writer in Residence at Oswestry Library, talks about his tenth book ‘Wilfred Owen: Poet of Oswestry’ which is due for publication in time for the town’s Wilfred Owen Festival in November 2018. The book provides a summary of the life of Wilfred Owen and also a general introduction to his work. With a focus on Owen’s early years, Dave’s book and this talk give a broad overview of Owen’s posthumous rise to worldwide fame as one of the greatest poets of the twentieth century in the English language.
