Journey’s End – Shropshire WW1 Film Festival

Journey’s End is a British film adaptation of the play Journey’s End by R. C. Sherriff. Set in a dugout in Aisne in 1918, it is the story of a group of British officers, led by the mentally disintegrating young officer Stanhope, as they await their fate.
This film is shown as shown as a part of the Trefonen Entertains and Flicks in the Sticks series in partnership with the Wilfred Owen Festival and Shropshire World War One Film Festival to commemorate the centenary of the death of the war poet and the centenary of Armistice Day.
