‘Wilfred Owen: Poet of Oswestry’

Author Dave Andrews, currently Reader and Writer in Residence at Oswestry Library, talks about his tenth book ‘Wilfred Owen: Poet of Oswestry’ which is due for publication in time for the town’s Wilfred Owen Festival in November 2018. The book provides a summary of the life of Wilfred Owen and also a general introduction to his work. With a focus on Owen’s early years, Dave’s book and this talk give a broad overview of Owen’s posthumous rise to worldwide fame as one of the greatest poets of the twentieth century in the English language.

These events are free of charge and booking is not essential.
